Public Comment

Create a password-protected, comment-only version of your Bill Lists to collaborate with members outside of your Abstract workspace.

Updated over a week ago

Abstract's Public Comment access level allows non-Abstract users to view and comment on bills in a Bill List of your choice.

To open your Bill List for Public Comment, click "Share" in the top right corner of your Bill List and toggle from "Private" to "Public Comment".

Like a Shared Bill List, this will generate a View-Only, dynamic version of your Bill List that updates in real time, displays Tags and Notes, and allows visitors to view bill information.

Note: only Tags & Notes that you've selected to display will be visible in any shared version of your Bill List.

Once you've set the password for your List, you're ready to share the link and password with anyone in your network. To access the Public Comment Bill List, viewers need the link, password, and they must enter their name and email to ensure you always know who's viewing your bills.

As comments and views roll in, you can track this data using the Analytics Dashboard. Simply click "View Analytics" from the Bill List in your Abstract Library to see viewers, see how much time was spent reviewing bill info, and see all comments in one place. You can even export these analytics to CSV to share your findings.
