Keyword Search Bar:
Use the search bar at the top of the Search page for keywords and specific bills
i.e. "AB 123"
i.e. "Water," "Housing," or "Cybersecurity"
You can type multiple keywords or bill numbers into the search bar by putting "and" between phrases
AB 1 and SB 1
i.e. Housing and Homeless
Advanced Search Filters:
Bill Status:
Introduced
In Committee
Reported
Passed Chamber
Passed Both Chambers
Signed
Vetoed
Became Law
Bill Introduction Date:
Click the "Date Range" bar to open a calendar and select a specific date range.
Effective Date:
Like the Bill Introduction filter, the Effective Date filter has a calendar option.
Sponsors & Cosponsors
Use the Keyword Search Bar under Sponsor/Cosponsor to filter by who's sponsored a bill.
Chamber of Origin:
Select Assembly or Senate to filter by Chamber of Origin
By default, search results will show you bills from both houses, so only select one when relevant.
Filter Results by your Jurisdictions & Session:
Toggle the States and Sessions menu to select from your purchased jurisdictions. This will limit your search results to the selected Legislative Bodies.
Sort your Search Results:
By default, search results are sorted by relevance. Click the dropdown menu on the right hand side of the Search Page to adjust your sorting selection.
